If anything has ever been true about our family we love to eat and we love to eat good food there have been countless holidays where we felt like the only thing left to do was fall asleep. Cheeseburger Pie
Mom’s Cheeseburger Pie
1 lb ground beef (hamburger)
½ cup chopped onion
1 (8oz) can tomato sauce
1 (4oz) can chopped mushrooms
¼ cup snipped parsley
¼ tsp salt
½ tsp dried oregano
½ tsp pepper
2 packages refrigerator crescent rolls
3 eggs
6 slices of American cheese
1 table spoon water
- In skillet cook ground beef and onion till all the meat is brown
And the onion is tender, - drain.
- Add in: The tomato sauce mushrooms and spices.
- Unroll one package of the crescent rolls, separate into triangles and place in lightly grease 9 inch pan.
- Separate one egg and set aside yolk.
- Beat the other egg white with the remaining 2 eggs.
- Pour half the beaten egg over the pie shell and then fill with the meat mixture.
- Pour the remaining egg over the top of the meat mixture
- spread the cheese on top
- Then cover with the other package of crescent rolls.
- Brush the top with the remaining egg white.
- Loosely cover the edges of the pie with foil to prevent over browning.
Cook at 350 degrees for 20 min with the center covered with foil. After that remove the foil and bake for another 20 min.
Take out of the over and let stand at least 15 min before serving …
