Pumpkin Pie 1982
Grandma’s Pumpkin Pie 1982
In my mothers own hand writing
1 Can Pumpkin
1 egg slightly beaten
1 can evaporated milk
1 teaspoon Pumpkin Pie Spice
1 pkg small Jell-O Pudding and Pie Filling (NOT INSTANT) 6 oz size
3 tablespoons Sugar
Directions:
Mix all the ingredients together in a sauce pan.
Bring to boil stirring constantly for one (1) minute till it becomes thick and pulls away from the sides.
remove from stove top and pour into a prepared cooked pie shell and let sit.
Serve with whip cream

In 2011 I started making this pie with all Organic ingredients which is I used Doctor Oetkers pudding mix which actually works just as well as the Jello brand. Any old pie shell will work, Whole Foods Gluten Free pre-made shells work wonderfully and they are still buttery and crispy. – Joshua Patterson
