Great Grandma DeBorde’s Honey Cake

A Christmas Treat

Beat
1 Cup sugar
1 Cup Honey
2 eggs

Add

3 cups Flour
1 tsp baking soda

One a well floured pastry sheet put 1/3 of the batter.
Add flour to hold together.Transfer to cookie sheet.

Will be some what floppy .
Press out on cookie sheet until about ¼ inch thick using flour to keep from being sticky.

Bake at 350 degrees about 10 min. Cool
Cut into strips, and then cut diagonal.
Kitchen shears works well.

You may Ice with powder sugar and water icing, and then decorate for the season, if desired with holly leaves and berries.
