My Moms (Danna Doty-Patterson-Donovan) Corn Chowder
BACON BACON BACON !!! IS THE KEY
1 OR 2 lbs BACON cut up in little pieces
fry till crispy – take out bacon
leave the fat in the soup pot
cut up one sweet onion
put in the fat in the pot to brown/soften don’t burn them
mean while chop up about 2-3 lbs of potatoes into little cubes
put them on to boil in a separate pot to cook when done drain
after your onion is brown combine all this

potatoes
bacon bits
6 cans of whole corn
6 cans cream corn
1\2 gal jug whole milk
put it all in the soup pan
salt and pepper lots of pepper
DO NOT BURN AND SIMMER SLOWWWWWWWWWWWWWLY
